Is The Sky The Limit For BioShock?

August 12, 2010

From Irrational Games – formerly known as 2K Boston to fellow gamers – comes the newest trailer for the quaintly popular BioShock. Now named BioShock Infinite, what starts off as something we may find as oh-so-familiar, very quickly jumps back into an era before our ‘humble’ little Rapture. What ends up as a turn for the astounding, we see that what we used to know of BioShock, well, is not so water bound as we thought it was.

BioShock Infinite

As for how the game will be compared to the original and it’s allegedly not so favored sequel? That’s up to the fans and naysayers to tell, as the game is set for a soon to be long-awaited 2012 debut.

Sadly, I’ve not had the chance to play through either of the first 2 Bioshock installments… but DAMN those guys know how to make an intense trailer! Watching that, I was reminded of how I felt watching the trailer for the original Bioshock: an almost dreamy sense of atmosphere intercut with intense fear. Very cool!

Ditto here! I’ve only played through a bit of the first Bioshock before my computer wanted to seriously strangle me, but both games definitely interest me, just in setting alone (I love me some underwater situations that don’t actually require you to swim). The trailer is the perfect amount of momentum to get you wanting to play. :D

I played both Bioshock 1 and 2 but never finished it. I could never stay into the gameplay. Though some situations were very intense and crazy I couldn’t finish it :(. Maybe with this one it will feel more comfortable to me.
