MANvsGAME (Pilot Episode?)

I’m uploading this more for archival purposes rather than sheer “entertainment value,” though sadly at this point in time it is the funniest video I’ve made, if only by default. This is nothing more than a raw, completely unedited recording of one of the first broadcasts of MANvsGAME, with special guest Ezekiel III. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the quality… there isn’t any. The quality is choppy, there are absolutely no cuts or edits whatsoever, and you can rarely hear what we’re saying clearly, which is probably just as well since we’re basically just hooting like primates in front of a strobe light most of the time.

We play Super Smash Bros. A LOT. We used to play a ton of Brawl before finally coming to our senses and realizing that Melee is still better (it’s a sad truth, and I welcome all arguments against in the comments :D) You’ll notice how we’ve fallen into a sort of “lower state of consciousness,” if you will, when we play as we tend to angrily grunt the same 4 or 5 phrases over and over again for hours on end. All time favorites include:

  • Get the Fuck Outta Here
  • God Dammit
  • What the Fuck
  • Come on
  • Aaaaaaaaaggghhhhhh

These are heavily peppered into every Smash Brothers session with variations only in fervor and volume.

This'll put hair on your ass.

Toward the end of the video we call it a night and I switch the stream back to video game music. You… really don’t need to watch that part. In fact, if you make it that far, I’m already impressed and humbled. Like I said earlier, I’m not really expecting anyone to actually watch this thing… it’s here more as a sort of digital time capsule, so that hopefully someday, I can look back on this video and laugh hysterically… but for completely different reasons.
