MANvsGAME – The Recap (8/19/10)

August 19, 2010

Once again, I’m taking my regular cast recap that I once placed in the now deceased forums and putting it onto the front page for all of you folks to see. Now how exciting is that? I know…you are raising your hands in the air in celebration as you read this very sentence. Hell, I know I was! So, are ready for the fun that is the MvG Recap? Well, it doesn’t matter if you are ready or not, cause here I come!

MANvsGAME Cast Recap (8/19/2010) — MAN of WAR Cast Featuring God of War

“Don’t They Ever Shut Up?” – View Highlight Here

In Man’s first major fight of the evening, Man once again takes on some Sirens. However, unlike in last night’s final moments, Man is able to lay down the smack on these ladies. This smack ultimately leads to victory in the way of a little vuvuzela action. Enjoy.

“Get These Orcs Outta Here” – View Highlight Here

In Man’s next major fight, he takes on a few orcs in what ends up being an epic 4 minute fight. However, what is interesting here isn’t really the battle per say, but instead what makes this a highlight is Man’s amazing commentary during the fight. So, listen closely to the Man himself and enjoy this clip.

“Man’s Voice Acting 102” – View Highlight Here

In tonight’s edition of Man’s Voice Acting, Man gives us a lesson on To Kill a Mockingbird’s own Boo Radley and then leads into a wonderful rendition of the famous Subway theme “5 Dollar Footlong”. Enjoy tonight’s lesson, and be sure to stay tuned for more from the School of the Man Voice.

“Rope Action Scene” – View Highlight Here

Okay, time for tonight’s first major fail run by the Man. In this failtastic highlight, Man gets himself caught in between some foes in quite possibly the worst place possible — scaling a rope sideways above a cliff. This setting leads to a great action scene that even the best action movies would be jealous of. Enjoy.

“Is This Live?” – View Highlight Here

Upon Man’s request, here is another highlight where the success of one Man can very easily turn into a serious fail. Don’t let this clip fool you, because there will be a nice little surprise for you at the end if you are praying for Man to just die already. So here is to great success…and some victory failure.

“Ambush Trap” – View Highlight Here

It really is great that Man can finally sense the danger around him to the point where he knows he is going to fail. However, the fail here comes in a bit of a different way. Watch as Man calls his own shot of fail, only to get it in the oddest of ways. Hint: Watch the floor below him. You might catch on to something there.

Aww....that's really too bad Man. Guess you should have watched that moving floor a bit better, eh?

“Stuck in the 90’s” – View Highlight Here

I have spoken before on the lore of the MvG cast, and here is another example of just that. The lore here says that whenever we get late into a cast, Man begins to say things he is probably going to regret later. This is once again one of those times. Just listen to this highlight and you’ll understand just what I am talking about.

“Splatter Fail” – View Highlight Here

In tonight’s end of cast bonus clip, Man gets to experience the same thing as many cartoon characters get to face on a daily basis — the art of feeling some splat. So enjoy one last bonus fail from tonight’s cast, and just know that Kratos is still okay despite some questionable jumping.

It's okay Kratos. Even if Man likes putting you to death in such shameful ways, we still love you. Well, sort of.

So, hopefully you enjoyed this edition of the MvG Recap! Is there anything I can do better to improve this recap? Well, if there is, then do not be shy to post a comment below. After all, I will be trying to do these for every cast, so every little comment helps! Okay, until Friday friends — have a good one.

The look on MAN’s face when the floor falls out from under him… priceless XD

I will honestly say, having never played the game before, mind you, that I thought that moving floor was like a sort of preview to some kind of huge beast that I’d have to battle once I’d killed all the sirens and undead. I had no idea it’d just fuckin’ drop open and WOOPS YOU’RE DEAD.
